Saranac Lake – Dozens of colleges and universities will be represented when North Country Community College hosts its third-annual College Fair from 9 to 11 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 4, 2018 at the Sparks Athletic Complex Gymnasium.

Admissions staff from nearly 70 colleges and universities — including public and private, in-state and out-of-state, and two- and four-year schools — will be on hand to talk and network with high school students from across the region. An estimated 250-300 high school students from Essex and Franklin counties will are being bussed in for the event.

“This is an excellent opportunity for the high school students to learn about what options are out there after high school, and what college or university could be the right fit for them,” said Rachel Gebhardt, NCCC’s assistant director for admissions. “This is college search and application crunch time for high school seniors. And for the juniors, this is the starting point of making their lists and figuring out where they want to go and what they want to do.”

The College Fair is also an opportunity for current NCCC students to learn more about colleges and universities they could apply to after graduation to continue their education.
